marking

CE marking is a special mark applied to a product, which certifies that the product complies with the basic requirements of the EU directives and harmonized standards of the European Union, and also that the product has passed the procedure for assessing compliance with directives. CE marking indicates that the product is not harmful (hazardous) to the health of its consumers, and also environmentally friendly.

What are the benefits of CE certification?

A manufacturer using the CE marking on his product declares that the product meets all the necessary requirements (technical specifications and standards) and can sell its goods and services in Europe.

Products bearing the CE mark can be sold in the European Economic Area without any barriers, and consumers are confident that the products they buy comply with all basic health, safety and environmental requirements. The manufacturer is responsible for conducting conformity assessment of products, preparing technical files, obtaining CE markings, if necessary, drawing up a declaration of conformity with the EU and applying CE marking on goods.

What information is contained in the European declaration of conformity?

The EC declaration of conformity contains information related to the product, manufacturer or representative with the following content:

• Unique product labeling,

• Name and address of the manufacturer or authorized representative,

• Statement of responsibility of the manufacturer of this declaration,

• Product identification, allowing its tracking, a clear image of the product, if necessary,

• The relevant directive of the European Union,

• References to relevant harmonized standards and / or regulations,

• Where applicable, the name and identification number of the notified body, module description and CE certificate information,

• Additional information, signature, name and position of the authorized signatory, as well as the place and date of issue.

CE marking

The CE mark must have the correct shape and proportion, as shown in the figure, regardless of size.

Marking should be applied in such a way that it would not be possible to erase or change, it was clearly visible and readable.

If the design of the product does not allow marking, or it is not advisable, then this marking is attached to the package, if available, and to the accompanying documents.
